Controls flow in one of two ways, either as a physical barrier using the size of pipe to determine the flow that passes when a specific upstream head acts on it, or, the pipe is longer, and its length will have a friction loss among it which will determine the flowrate. We can provide what you need with minimal information.
Controls flow as a physical barrer using the size of orifice to determine the flow that passes when a specific upstream head acts on it. Our modular orifice system allows various size ranges to be fitted into a single size of chamber.
Vortex flow control
The same device offers two methods of controlling flows downstream. Firstly it controls flow through the physical size of the aperture. Secondly, once rotational flow is achieved within the device, an air core forms and the presence of the air core limits the flow of fluid causing a “kickback point” and the air core restricts fluid flow downstream as head continues to build upstream. This type of flow control may not be the cheapest, but is likely the best, and will save you a fortune if installed as part of an integrated stormwater management system.
Variable orifice flow control.
A variable orifice flow control is a device which has a variable geometry shaped opening attached to a float mounted on the downstream side and as the float rises, it closes off the opening and thus reduces the flow allowed to pass, when the level drops, so does the float and the aperture opens up, and so on…. Self acting, self regulating
A modulating penstock is a type of valve which utilises a gate which travels vertically in a frame to control flow. It simply works in conjunction with a level controller which also in conjunction with a flume flow measurement device, will give a signal to the penstock actuator to open or close the penstock gate. Clearly by opening and closing the gate will vary the flow. A simple and effective device, needs power and control logic however.
An actuated valve is simply a valve with an automatic adjustment mechanism, this one has a pneumatic actuator, there are a variety of type of valve and actuator available to suit your application

Glass reinforced plastic tanks, mostly associated with smaller attenuation volumes, cesspools/pits and biological treatment plant. Normally installed with a concrete surround and have a lower invert depth due to being circular. A modular, low cost solution for smaller attenuation volumes.
Plastic tanks, similar to GRP, Normally installed with a concrete surround, can be circular but may be other shapes.
Modular Block Attenuation
The basis of the LoRAS© ™ and ReRAS© ™ systems but without any re-use consideration or packaged solution, A simple attenuation system prepared within a geotextile membrane to form a tank. For anyone unsure of the value of this type of storage, look at the benefits stated below :-

Innovative and efficient
The treatment of Stormwater is done so in order to reduce maintenance of attenuation systems. For example, “sustainable” systems which incorporate ponds are thought that on average, these will silt up in under 10 years and therefore offer no attenuation, and no treatment beyond that point. Ponds are also designed without any routine maintenance facilities and as such, will likely be damaged through any maintenance attempted, torn liners etc. These “sustainable” solutions are in fact the least sustainable of all and that’s not our view, its based on fact.
The following are treatment options we offer which will protect attenuation systems but more importantly, are designed with routine maintenance in mind. These are in fact the genuine sustainable.
Downstream Defender© - Hydro International product designed to have a specific performance for the removal of silts and grits with a specific gravity of 2.65 down to 200 microns. Also entrains floatable materials. No moving parts, no power, maintained through routine cleaning with a gully sucker.
Gully pot – simple low volume removal of silts and grits. Cheap, not efficient as tend to wash out during high storm flows. Maintained by gully sucker but many of them means this is a task which is too intensive to be routine.
Class 1 Interceptor – SUDS compliant hydrocarbons retention.
Class 2 Interceptor – provides a means of solids retention as well as low level hydrocarbons capture

Simply, solar temporary tower lighting allows contractors, developers and end users superb lighting power on a temporary or mobile basis. These products can be purchased or hired. This lighting
* requires no trenching, ducting or cabling
* No service diversions
* No fuel or refueling
* Diesel tower lights produce up to 38 tonnes of CO2 per annum per light
* Diesel tower lights creat heat and a risk of fire and burns
*Zero carbon emissions
* Are silent in operation
These lights are the lowest total cost solutions when factoring in fuel and labour.
Solar lighting on a permanent basis has been installed since 2011 without any maintenance. They share the same benefits as listed above. do not require trenching, ducting, power cabling, power supplies, have zero carbon and are installed much more quickly, up to 10 per day. All this and the benefits of zero grid connection and no power use.
All in all, solar lighting is the lowest cost and best environmental solution.

Circular Economy Solutions very own innovation, the Power Shed provides clients with zero carbon, or low carbon off-grid energy solutions. This starts with optimising the equipment to be powered and then builds a system around this to provide a bespoke off-grid energy center. These are designed to suit each application. Perhaps the most significant advance in contractor and construction sustainable solutions and as recently awards indicate, a valued asset for use on the rail infrastructure where capital payback is extremely short and the environmental benefits extend to hundreds of tonnes of CO2 reduced every year.
